Mental Performance
Athlete Development
Team Culture
Even the five-tool player needs the sixth tool
We work with our athletes to find a calm and quiet mind while recovering, and the ability to regulate one’s emotions in any situation on or off the field.
Athletes today are under constant pressure from:
- social media
- recruiting exposure
- rankings
- statistics
- expectations
- comparison
- perfectionism
- year-round competition
Athletes are training constantly, yet many are:
- overthinking
- mentally exhausted
- disconnected from the game
- anxious under pressure
- losing confidence in themselves
The Sixth Tool Ball Club was created to help athletes regain control mentally, emotionally, and competitively.
We specialize in helping athletes:
- manage performance anxiety
- adjust to the pace of any situation
- regulate emotions pregame, during competition, and postgame
- build confidence through preparation
- improve self-awareness
- create routines and structure
- improve communication and comprehension
- understand emotional responses under pressure
- compete with freedom instead of fear
The Sixth Tool Ball Club
The Sixth Tool Ball Club combines high-level baseball experience with behavioral health knowledge and athlete development.
Our coaching staff understands the game because we have lived it.
We are former professional, college, and high school baseball coaches who understand the pressure athletes face both on and off the field.
What separates us is our background beyond baseball.
Our founder is a certified psychosocial rehabilitation specialist, certified peer support specialist, former childcare worker, inclusion aide for students with autism, and former behavioral health worker with extensive experience supporting underserved and at-risk populations.
This experience allows us to connect with athletes differently.
SERVICES WE OFFER
MENTAL RECOVERY
Athletics are always at their peak and finest when the mind is quiet and the body is ready to attack, and that athlete has prepared for every moment.
Just as athletes ice sore arms and allow the body to recover physically, the brain also requires recovery, regulation, and rejuvenation.
Mental recovery is one of the most overlooked aspects of sports performance.
The Sixth Tool Ball Club teaches athletes how to:
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe:
- preparation creates confidence
- discipline creates freedom
- emotional control creates consistency
- failure is feedback
- adversity builds resilience
- self-awareness improves performance
- communication strengthens teams
- baseball mirrors life
Sometimes you win. Sometimes you learn.
The athletes who succeed long term are usually not the most talented.
They are the athletes who can regulate emotions, remain disciplined, communicate effectively, and continue moving forward through adversity.
