Founded in honor of Curtis Byrdsong’s legacy as an educator, musician, and mentor, The Byrdsong Foundation continues his lifelong commitment to using music to uplift, guide, and inspire students.
The Byrdsong Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to offer educational, financial, and emotional assistance to Black students pursuing academic and performing careers in instrumental music.
Our vision is to create access and opportunity in the field of music by addressing contemporary challenges, removing barriers, and fostering a more inclusive future for aspiring musicians.
